Study of modular units made of cross ž laminated wood |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
The study focuses on modular units made of cross-laminated wood. First, there is a comprehensive overview over cross-laminated timber as construction material. The possibilities of using it in civil engineering applications are also shown. This is followed by a short state-of-the-art review of several modular units made of cross-laminated wood and a presentation of its potential use in the future. After that, I focus on modeling of cross-ply laminates. There is a short explanation of the basic theory of thin-walled laminates. The analysis of modular unit is performed in FE software package SAP2000 v12. A 3D shell- layered model with the capability of calculation of stresses in layers of laminate is used for analysis. Based on this analysis the whole modular unit structure is designed for five different shapes of the unit to sustain defined loads and to meet the requirements of ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state of the structure. Due to low mass to high specific load bearing capacity ratio the structures made of cross-laminated solid wooden panels have very good mechanical properties. |

Povzetek (ePrints): |
V diplomski nalogi obravnavam modularne enote iz križno lepljenega lesa. Na začetku
predstavim križno lepljen les kot gradbeni material. Prikažem možnost njegove uporabe v
konstrukcijskem gradbeništvu. V nadaljevanju pogledam na potenciale inovativne modularne
gradnje v prihodnosti. Nato se osredotočim na modeliranje laminatov. Predstavim teorijo
laminatnih kompozitnih sten in plošč. Analizo modularne enote izvedem s programom SAP
2000 v12. Uporabim slojevite ploskovne elemente, ki nam omogočajo račun napetosti po
slojih. Analiziram pet različnih položajev modularne enote ter pri kontroli mejnega stanja
nosilnosti in uporabnosti skušam izpolniti vse kriterije. Iz analize ugotovim, da imajo
konstrukcije iz križno lepljenih lesenih masivnih plošč veliko specifično nosilnost in togost
zaradi razmerja med majhno lastno težo in dobrimi mehanskimi lastnostmi križno lepljenih
lesenih plošč. |
