Sekundarni povzetek: Lojze Čemažar is a Slovene academic painter who has been working in this field for over thirty years. Despite the fact that his work is widespread and was also presented in numerous group and solo exhibitions, it has not yet been comprehensively discussed and catalogued. On the basis of discussion with the artist and parish priests and by using the literature, I have prepared a list of his religious works. Due to the extent of his artistic work (his works of art are in over sixty different religious buildings) I decided to focus only on his murals in Slovenia. Determination of the painter’s style and formal analysis was done using his mural Zadnja večerja (The Last Supper) in Dornberk. The method used for this analysis is discussed in the scientific monograph entitled Sistematika stila (The Systematics of Style) by Izidor Cankar. To understand and experience his art, the »Ways in« art interpretation method was chosen as one of the more suitable methods in contemporary Art teaching. The method strives for interdisciplinarity and attempts to include the pupil as a whole. At the same time the method gives an answer to one of the questions of contemporary art education, i.e. how the work of art should be presented to the pupils so that they would be able to explore and critically evaluate it. Teacher resources based on the »Ways in« interpretation method comprise the didactical part of the thesis and are designed for art educators and others. They consist of expanded content on the specific artwork, questions and activities which guide the interpretation, and concrete examples of art activities. The didactical part meets the increasing demands for the interconnection of educational fields and cross-curricular teaching. The works of art are the source of these connections. The artwork Last Supper was used to link different school subjects: Art, Religion and ethics and Citizenship and homeland education and ethics.

Povzetek (ePrints): Lojze Čemažar je akademski slikar, ki dela na Slovenskem že dobrih trideset let. Njegova dela, kljub razširjenosti in številnim skupinskim ter samostojnim razstavam, še niso bila celostno obravnavana in kataloško popisana. Z uporabo literature in na podlagi pogovorov z umetnikom ter duhovniki sem pripravila seznam njegovih sakralnih del. Zaradi velikega obsega, njegova dela so namreč v več kot šestdesetih različnih sakralnih stavbah, sem se odločila, da kataloško obravnavam le freske v Sloveniji. Pri določitvi stila slikarja Lojzeta Čemažarja in formalni analizi sem se oprla na delo Sistematika stila Izidorja Cankarja in kot primer izbrala fresko Zadnja večerja v Dornberku. Pri izbiri metode oziroma pristopa za razumevanje in doživljanje umetnin sem se odločila, da uporabim eno najprimernejših metod za sodobno likovno pedagogiko, in sicer vstopanje v umetnino ali metoda interpretacije po načelu »Ways in«. Metoda teži k interdisciplinarnosti, celostno vključuje učenca in nam tudi da odgovor na eno izmed vprašanj sodobne likovne pedagogike, to je, kako likovno delo predstaviti, da bi ga učenci in dijaki raziskovali in kritično ovrednotili. Metoda interpretacije po načelu vstopanje v umetnino je osrednji del podpornega gradiva. To je didaktični del diplomskega dela in je namenjen učiteljem likovne vzgoje in drugim. Sestavljen je iz razširjene vsebine o umetnini, iz vprašanj in dejavnosti, ki omogočajo interpretacijo ter predloga konkretnih likovnih dejavnosti. Gradivo izpolnjuje vse pogostejše zahteve o povezovanju področij oziroma medpredmetnem povezovanju. Umetniška dela so vir tega. Povezovala sem likovno delo Zadnja večerja z likovno vzgojo, predmetom verstva in etika ter državljansko in domovinsko vzgojo in etiko.
