Sekundarni povzetek: In the presented diploma thesis I am addressing human resources management (HRM) in construction companies and the application of different tools that are applicable for HRM. I have analyzed HRM as a set of processes identified by the literature addressing HRM as a tool used to increase productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of employees, teams, and organizations. For these processes, a review of their possible implementation in the construction sector has been carried out using mainly the available international literature. The thesis provides an assessment of key HRM tools and examples of their use specifically for the construction activities. This thesis presents the results of the study which was carried out by means of a questionnaire regarding the field of HRM among construction companies in Slovenia. Another study was performed to determine the personal characteristics of the students of the University of Ljubljana using the "Strength Deployment Inventory" method. Key results of the thesis address the issue of HRM in the construction sector and are supported mainly by foreign literature. The results of the studies show some specific characteristics in human resources management in the construction sector in Slovenia. The study on personal characteristics of civil engineering students also provided some specific results. It is recommended that the studies be enhanced especially by increasing the sample size.

Povzetek (ePrints): V diplomski nalogi se ukvarjam z ravnanjem z ljudmi pri delu v gradbenih podjetjih in uporabo različnih orodij za ravnanje z ljudmi pri delu. Ravnanje z ljudmi pri delu sem analiziral kot skupek procesov, ki so opredeljeni v literaturi, ki obravnava ravnanje z ljudmi pri delu za povečanje storilnosti, učinkovitosti in uspešnosti zaposlenega, skupine in podjetja. Predvsem s pomočjo dostopne tuje literature je bil opravljen pregled možne uporabe teh procesov na področju gradbenih dejavnosti. V nalogi so prikazana ključna orodja za ravnanje z ljudmi pri delu in primeri njihove uporabe. V diplomski nalogi predstavljam rezultate izvedene raziskave, ki je bila v obliki vprašalnika s področja ravnanja z ljudmi pri delu izvedena v slovenskih gradbenih podjetjih, in uporabo orodja za določitev osebnostih lastnosti posameznika med študenti gradbeništva UL FGG po metodi "Strength Deployment Inventory". Rezultati diplomskega dela, ki so podprti predvsem s tujimi viri, primarno naslavljajo problematiko ravnanja z ljudmi pri delu na področju gradbeništva, poleg tega pa rezultati izvedenih raziskav kažejo na nekatere specifičnosti ravnanja z ljudmi pri delu v slovenskem gradbeništvu, kakor tudi specifične rezultate na področju osebnostnih karakteristik študentov gradbeništva, vendar bi bilo potrebno raziskave še poglobiti, zlasti z vidika velikosti vzorca.
