Sekundarni povzetek: Movement and play are internal necessities of every child. The key concept of internal necessity is that it comes as a result of learning a habit. Habits are therefore the result of economic learning seeing that the learning process takes place at a subconscious level. Another particularity of habits is that they save us time, especially if they are positive. It is difficult to unlearn them though since their absence crates displeasure. It would therefore make sense to take advantage of this concept when we shape a child’s lifestyle. A physically active lifestyle in fact indirectly and directly contributes to a child’s health, and consequently has a positive effect on a healthy lifestyle of adults, too. The analysis of the research results and the relevant literature from the field of studying human motor skills indicates that as far as a preschool child is concerned these abilities are primarily conditioned by inborn personality traits, upbringing, education, and social as well as demographic environment. The motor skills that experts particularly highlight at this age are balance, coordination, and strength. They are developed mostly by means of natural forms of movement, such as locomotion, manipulation, and basic as well as advanced body movement. In order to have a quality life, a person needs an appropriate, regular, and adequately intensive exercise. Guidelines for education and training of children are defined in national curricula and programmes. In preschool period, these instructions are shaped in the form of the process-development goals and are contained in the Motor/sport activities chapter of the Preschool Curriculum. The general process-development goals are accompanied by the examples of the exercise activities that leave the childcare workers the freedom of choice. For the purpose of ensuring quality implementation of movement exercises, childcare workers undergo education and training in the course of the undergraduate study. On account of an increasingly rich assortment of afternoon sports activities and wish of education workers to search for new ideas, the “Little Sun” motor/sport programme was developed. This is an enriched programme that expands and more precisely defines different stages of a child’s development and with the help of motivation directs the motor activities of different organizational and work methods. This thesis studies whether the Preschool curriculum (in the Motor/sport activities chapter) corresponds to the “Little Sun” motor/sport programme in the section of natural forms of movement. Both programmes are not completely in line when it comes to including natural forms of movement, but they definitely supplement each other. The specifics of a child’s development is an imperative that dictates the work methods, which is why the planning and choice of proper methods aimed at exerting as efficient influence as possible on a child’s holistic development are essential for studying and learning of motor/sport activities in kindergarten. This is where the biggest difference between the two programmes lies. While the Curriculum is defined in terms of processes, the “Little Sun” is more goal-oriented, which depends on the work methods. Curriculum puts emphasis on the play, whereas “Little Sun” focuses on work methods that lead to the accomplishment of goals. The biggest level of compatibility between the two programmes can be observed in the first two phases of the “Little Sun” programme, whereas later on, the programmes go in different ways and become much more divergent.
