Povzetek

Temeljni namen diplomskega dela je proučiti možnost vključevanja konstruktivističnega pristopa pri razvijanju učenčeve miselne dejavnosti pri pouku geografije in ugotoviti njegovo potencialno večjo uspešnost od tradicionalnega pristopa z elementi konstruktivizma. Cilji diplomskega dela so: analizirati temeljne značilnosti konstruktivističnega pristopa in tradicionalnega pristopa pri pouku regionalne geografije; izdelati in izvesti izbrano učno uro na temo Latinska Amerika, ki temelji na proučevanih pristopih; preveriti uspešnost konstruktivističnega pristopa v primerjavi s tradicionalnim pristopom z elementi konstruktivizma pri izbrani učni temi Latinske Amerike; s testom ugotavljanja predznanja in osvojenega znanja ter z anketnim vprašalnikom preveriti, kateri učni pristop je dijakom bližnji in bolj izraža njihovo individualnost ter aktivnost pri pouku geografije. V teoretičnem delu diplomske dela smo predstavili cilje in kompetence predmeta geografije v programu osnovne šole in v programu splošne gimnazije, poučevanje geografije v tujih državah, značilnosti tradicionalnega pristopa, značilnosti in razvoj konstruktivističnega pristopa, značilnost tradicionalnega pristopa z elementi konstruktivizma. V aplikativnem delu diplomskega dela smo, na podlagi testov ugotavljanja predznanja in testov ugotavljanja usvojenega znanja, analizirali uspešnost konstruktivističnega pristopa pri učni temi Latinske Amerike v primerjavi s tradicionalnim pristopom z elementi konstruktivizma. S pomočjo ankete smo pridobili mnenja dijakov o načinu pouka pri predmetu geografije in le-te analizirali.

Sekundarni povzetek: The basic purpose of the diploma paper was to examine the possibility of incorporating the constructivist approach in the development of students' thinking activity in geography lessons and to determine its potentially greater effectiveness from the traditional approach with constructivist elements. The goals of the diploma paper were: to analyze the basic characteristics of constructivist and traditional approach in regional geography lessons; to prepare and carry out the selected teaching topic from the teaching module of Latin America, which is based on the examined approaches; to verify the effectiveness of constructivist approach in comparison with the traditional approach with constructivist elements in selected teaching module of Latin America; with prior and acquired knowledge tests and a questionnaire verify, which of the teaching approaches is closer to the students and which one expresses their individuality and activity in geography lessons better. In the theoretical part of the diploma paper we presented the goals and the competences of Geography in elementary and general upper secondary school programs, teaching of Geography in foreign countries, the characteristics of traditional approach, the characteristics and the development of constructivist approach and the characteristics of traditional approach with constructivist elements. In the applicative part of the diploma paper we analyzed the effectiveness of constructivist approach in teaching module of Latin America in comparison with the traditional approach with constructivist elements, by using prior and acquired knowledge tests. With the questionnaire we gained the students opinions about the methods of geography lessons and analyzed them.
