Povzetek
Mentorstvo lahko opredelimo kot eno od oblik učenja in je danes zelo pogosta oblika izobraževanja. Lahko bi rekli, da je sodelovanje z mentorjem individualizirana pot do znanja. V literaturi naletimo na vrsto opredelitev pojmov mentor in mentorstvo, najbolj razširjena pa je razlaga, da je mentorstvo odnos med mlado neizkušeno osebo in starejšim izkušenim odraslim, ki mlajšemu pomaga, da se znajde v svetu odraslih in v svetu dela. Mentorstvo je tudi ena od metod razvoja in usposabljanja zaposlenih, kjer lahko zaposleni na osnovi medsebojnih odnosov pridobijo znanja in izkušnje, ki prinašajo prednosti tako za mentorja kot njegovega varovanca. V teoretičnem delu magistrskega dela se najprej opredelimo na razlago mentorstva kot metode za razvoj zaposlenih. Posebej proučimo mentorstvo v delovnem procesu, vlogo mentorja in mentoriranca, njun odnos ter prednosti in probleme, ki jih prinaša tovrstna oblika povezovanja. Za uspešno vzpostavljen mentorski odnos je potreben mentorski program. Tukaj opredelimo načine in oblike vzpostavitve mentorskega programa ter proučimo cilje takšnega programa.
Osrednji del magistrskega dela se nanaša na mentorstvo pri usposabljanju mladih raziskovalcev. To je program mladih raziskovalcev, ki se izvaja v okviru Javne agencije za raziskovalno dejavnost Republike Slovenije in Javne agencije za tehnološki razvoj Republike Slovenije. Vsebina tega programa je, da so mladi raziskovalci ob podiplomskem študiju za pridobitev doktorata znanosti vključeni v temeljno znanstveno raziskovalno delo in so za čas usposabljanja v rednem delovnem razmerju, bodisi na visokošolskih, raziskovalnih in drugih javnih institucijah ali v gospodarstvu. Njihovi dosežki in rezultati raziskovalnega dela se povezujejo v različne veje gospodarskih ali negospodarskih dejavnosti.
V okviru naše raziskave smo proučili mentorstvo mladim raziskovalcem na primeru Fakultete za strojništvo Univerze v Mariboru. Osredotočili smo se na odnos med mentorji in mladimi raziskovalci, proučili dejavnike, ki vplivajo na njihovo usposabljanje ter proučili možnosti njihove nadaljnje kariere po zaključenem usposabljanju. Raziskavo smo izvedli s pomočjo vprašalnika, posebej za mentorje in posebej za mlade raziskovalce. Analizo ugotovitev podajamo v sklepnem delu.

Mentorship can be defined as one of the forms of learning, which is today a very common form of education. We could say that cooperation with mentor is an individualised pathway towards knowledge. There are many definitions in the literature of what mentor and mentorship is, but the most widespread explanation is that the mentorship is a relationship between a young inexperienced person and experienced adult, who helps them to cope with the adult world and work world. Mentorship is also one of the methods for development and training of employees, where employees can obtain knowledge and experiences, which brings benefits to both, the mentor and his protégé.
In the theoretical part of the master's work, we define the interpretation of mentorship as a method for development of employees. Separately, we analyse mentorship in the work process, the role of a mentor and his protégé, their relationship and the benefits and problems caused by such a form of integration. A program for mentors is required in order to successfully establish mentorship relationship. In this mentorship programme we can define ways and forms for enforcement of mentorship programme as well as to examine the objectives of such a programme.
The central part of the master's work refers to the mentorship in training of the young researchers. This is a program for young researchers, which is being implemented within the framework of Slovenian Research Agency and Public Agency for Technology of Slovenia. The content of this program is that the young researchers, at their postgraduate studies in order to obtain a doctorate, are included in fundamental scientific research work and are for a period of training in an active working relationship, whether in higher education, research and other public institutions or in economy. Their achievements and results of the research work are connected in different branches of economic and non-economic activities.
In the context of our research, we examined mentorship of young researchers of the University of Maribor, Faculty of mechanical engineering. Moreover, we focused on the relationship between mentors and young researchers to analyse the factors that have an impact on their training and on their career options considered after completion of their training. Our research was performed with the help of a questionnaire, specifically designed for mentors and young researchers. The analysis of this research findings is in the final work. |
