diplomsko delo visokošolskega strokovnega študija Organizacija in management kadrovskih in izobraževalnih procesov

EMPLOYEE MOTIVATION IN THE COMPANY X |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
Every day we face many ways of human behavior that are at key importance for our lives. One of these is motivation that is presented in all areas of our lives. Motivation itself defines the way individual human functions and reacts in everyday life as well as at the workplace. Therefore each activity or action taken by individual presents combined results of various motivation factors.
In this diploma thesis we define a theoretical aspects of motivation, using motivation theories and models and their application to individuals’ or group’s satisfaction at workplace, job performance and individual employee specific motivation for their work. To get the answers to our field of interest we used the questionnaire in which respondents were asked about different motivation factors.
We were interested in understanding the factual situation in companies concerning the motivation factors of the employees. Thus we wanted to find out if the superior employees can and do in fact motivate their employees to like doing the work, to stay at a certain job position for a longer time, and we also wanted to define what the employees’ attitude towards their work, their co-workers and the superiors is and if they are satisfied with their job.
The questionnaire proved that that not all motivating factors work out for everyone at the same level of satisfaction, so it is important that superiors or managers find out the proper motivation factor which could be applied to a certain individual worker. Therefore the types of the motivation should be adjusted to the employee’s needs, desires, goals and work demands. The questionnaire also proved that money is not the only factor of motivation, there are also others like having good relationship with the other co-workers, a praise for a well done job, a security of a job…
If employees are not satisfied with their job or workplace, the superior employees have really got a hard job to motivate them, therefore we can claim that the most important task for the employees is how to find the proper motivation. On the other hand well motivated employees are engaged employees, who contribute the most to the efficiency and thus create comparative advantages of the entire company. |
