(diplomsko delo)

Parents' Awareness of the Mental Health of Children and Adolescents |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
Basis: The most important characteristic of each family is warmth of emotional relations between parents and children. All people have to take care for their health; parents should care about their children’s well-being, which requires a lot of knowledge. In the area of mental health, a nurse plays an important role in health education of parents, children and adolescents.
Research methodology: We used the descriptive method in the thesis. Theoretical points were presented by studying domestic and foreign literature. The anonymous questionnaire was used as the research instrument to collect the data.
The research involved 60 randomly selected parents whose children attend an organized sports activity. The results were statistically analyzed by Microsoft Office Excel.
Results: The results showed that parents are aware of the importance of mental health for the healthy development of the child and adolescent. The fact that the parents are very well aware of their own responsibility for the child's healthy development is encouraging.
All parents devote special meaning to regular exercise activities. They say that the regular exercise activities have a significant impact on the child's mental health. They are also aware of the positive attributes of the positive family environment.
Conclusion: Parents are aware of their role for the child's healthy development and therefore for the child's mental health. They largely affect the mental health of their children.
The nurse is taking an important role as well and she should be trusted by parents. Medical-educational functioning of the nurses will achieve the greatest impact that way. |
