Prikazano bo kramljanje v povezavi z vljudnostjo in tišino, saj je kramljanje odlična vljudnostna strategija v medsebojnih odnosih in eden izmed kakovostnih načinov premostitve neprijetne tišine.

The main goal of small talk is to make and maintain a contact in communication, act social and eventually break off displeasing silence. The thesis consists of a theoretical frame of communication, verbal and non-verbal one, in its main body small talk as a form of communication is discussed. In the past small talk was rather negatively assessed, whereas today we acknowledge its important role of a successful communication. Small talk and its connection with politeness and silence is presented in the thesis, since small talk is a great politeness strategy in interpersonal relationships and one of the most quality forms of overcoming displeasing silence.
