Povzetek
NAMEN: Namen raziskave je bil raziskati ali lahko človek, ki diha v več metrov dolgo cev, na drugi strani cevi povzroči dovolj visoko koncentracijo ogljikovega dioksida, ki se jo da izmeriti na kapnografu.
METODE: Raziskava je temeljila na eksperimentalni študiji, kjer smo modificirali fizični simulacijski modelu tako, da smo nanj priklopili veliko dihalni cev. Ta cev je bila na eni strani priključena na model na drugi strani pa je bil operater, ki je pihal v cev s različnimi dihalnimi vzorci.
REZULTATI: Pri uporabi 10 m dolge cevi in s določenim dihalnim vzorcem smo dosegli vrednosti, ki so se približale normalnim vrednostim PetCO2. Povprečna vrednost PetCO2, ki smo jo dosegli s uporabo 10 m dolge cevi je bila 32,70±5,25 mmHg.
ZAKLJUČEK: Ugotavljamo, da dolžina cevi in vzorec vplivata na vrednosti PetCO2. Vzorec dihanja kjer vdihujemo in izdihujemo zrak skozi isto cev se je izkazal za neučinkovitega. Dihalni vzorec s katerim smo se približali normalnim vrednostim, je dihalni vzorec kjer smo vdihovali zrak iz okolja in izdihovali v cev. S tem nismo vdihovali že izdihanega zraka, ki se je nahajal v cevi.

INTRODUCTION: Our research purpose was to inquire if a person, that is breathing through a tube that is several meters long, can exhale a high enough concentration of CO2, to cause a capnography reading.
METHODS: The research was based on a experimental study, in which we modified a physical simulation model, with breathing tubes that were different lengths. On one side the breathing tubes were attached to the model. On the other side an operator was breathing through the tube, with different breathing patterns.
RESULTS: The values of PetCO2 that we achieved, with the use of a 10 m long tube and a specific breathing pattern, were close to normal values of PetCO2. The mean value of PetCO2, that we achieved using a 10 m long tube, was 32,70±5,25 mmHg.
DISCUSSION: We conclude that the length of the tube and the breathing pattern affects the PetCO2 values. The breathing pattern where we inhale and exhale air throught the same tube has proven to be ineffective. To achieve normal values of PetCO2 we used a breathing patter where we inhaled air from the room we were in and exhale into the tube. This way we avoided inhaling air that was previously exhaled into the tube. |
