Povzetek

Otrok potrebuje za zdrav razvoj uravnoteženo prehrano, pri kateri velik in pomemben delež predstavljajo ogljikovi hidrati. Za otroke je pomembno, da poznajo in uživajo raznoliko prehrano, v katero so vključena tudi raznovrstna živila z več ogljikovimi hidrati. Pira je med otroki manj poznano žito, zato je pomembno, da jo otroci spoznajo in uvrstijo v svojo prehrano. Namen diplomskega dela je bil ugotoviti, koliko učenci vedo o zdravem načinu prehranjevanja, kako dobro poznajo vlogo ogljikovih hidratov v prehrani in kakšno je njihovo poznavanje živil, ki vsebujejo več ogljikovih hidratov, zlasti pire. Za potrebe raziskave je bilo oblikovano in izvedeno tematsko prehransko izobraževanje, v katerega je bilo vključenih 110 učencev, starih 12 in 13 let. Pred in po izvedenem izobraževanju so učenci izpolnjevali anketni vprašalnik, s katerim se je ugotavljalo njihovo poznavanje obravnavanih vsebin. Rezultati raziskave so pokazali, da večina učencev meni, da dovolj vedo o zdravi prehrani, niso pa prepričani, ali se zdravo prehranjujejo. Največ informacij o zdravi prehrani dobijo v šoli in doma pri starših. Anketiranci so ocenili, da je sadje, zelenjavo in žita priporočljivo pogosto uživati. S pojmom ogljikovi hidrati učenci največkrat povezujejo pojme; energija, škrob, sladkor in žita. Ugotovili smo, da se je z izobraževanjem poznavanje živil z več ogljikovimi hidrati izboljšalo, učenci pa so pri praktičnem delu spoznali tudi piro in jedi iz pire, ki so jih dobro sprejeli. Izvajanje prehranskega izobraževanja, ki je namenjeno spoznavanju novih jedi in okusov ter vključuje praktično pripravo jedi, pripomore k temu, da so otroci v svojo prehrano pripravljeni vključiti več raznovrstnih živil in jedi, kar lahko vpliva tudi na bolj zdrav način prehranjevanja.

Sekundarni povzetek: A child needs a balanced diet for a healthy development in which carbohydrates have a large and important role. For children it is important to know and consume a varied diet which includes diverse foods with more carbohydrates. Spelt, is a less known grain among children, so it is important that children learn about it and include it in their diet. The purpose of the thesis was to determine how much do children know about healthy eating, how well do they know the role of carbohydrates in the diet and what is their knowledge of foods that contain more carbohydrates, particularly spelt. For the purposes of the research a thematic nutritional education was designed and carried out. It included 110 pupils aged 12 in 13 years. Before and after the education pupils filled out a questionnaire. Its purpose was to find out what knowledge do they have about the discussed contents. The results showed that the majority of pupils think that they know enough about a healthy diet, but they are not sure whether they eat healthy. They get most information about a healthy diet in school and at home from their parents. Interviewees estimated that fruit, vegetables and grain should be consumed often. With the term carbohydrates students often connect energy, starch, sugar and grain. We found out that the knowledge of foods with more carbohydrates improved through education. In practical work pupils have learned the grain spelt and dishes made from it, which they liked. The aim of nutrition education is getting to know new dishes and tastes and it includes practical preparation, too. The children are willing to include more diverse foods and dishes. This also affects on a healthier way of eating.
