Abstract

Secondary title: Motivation of sales staff in Spar Slovenia
Secondary abstract: Motivation is the concept that we meet in everyday life. It is to encourage a person to do his job, quality and consistent. In every company, it is necessary to be able to motivate employees, because they depend on the success of the company. If employees are well motivated, they will be happy to work with them, which will bring profit to the company. If the employees are not satisfied, their dissatisfaction is transferred to work, which none of the managers of the companies wants. Therefore, it is very important that the management is sufficiently informed about how to motivate its employees, that they are only satisfied with the working conditions. The aim of the diploma project is to determine the motivation of employees at one of Spar Slovenia's branches. We chose the Interspar Qlandia Novo mesto branch. We also analyzed the importance of motivation factors, which have an impact on the motivation of sales staff. In the theoretical part, we focused on the motivation of sales personnel. We have described the concept of motivation, how motivation affects employees, whose motivational factors we know and what types of motivation exist. Because we focused on the motivation of sales personnel, we also described in the theoretical part the concept of sales, sales planning and its process, the organization of sales, how we employ vendors, and the management and behavior of these. We also briefly described Spar Slovenia, whose years were founded, who is the founder of the company, what are the values and vision of the company. In the empirical part of the diploma project, we analyzed the motivation of sales staff at Interspar Qlandia Novo mesto, through a survey questionnaire. We also asked them, how important they find certain motivational factors. In the end, we analyzed the questionnaire and graphically and tabulated it.
