primerjava med Slovenci, živečimi v Argentini, in Slovenci, živečimi v Sloveniji
Abstract
Udeleženci raziskave so vprašalnik izpolnili preko spleta. Slovenci v Argentini v večji meri povezujejo vključevanje v verske aktivnosti z utrjevanjem nacionalne identitete in udeleževanjem družine in sorodnikov v le-te.

The aim of this research was to determine whether there are any differences in the subjective well-being among Slovenes living in Argentina and Slovenes living in Slovenia in terms of spirituality, religiousness and gratitude. The final sample covered 295 participants. Of these, 141 were Slovenes in Argentina (migrated there after the Second World War), aged between 10 and 90, and 154 Slovenes from the motherland, aged between 17 and 64 years of age. The sample of Slovenes living in Argentina included 58 men and 82 women. In the sample of Slovenes in their motherland, there were 35 men and 119 women. Participants of the survey filled in the questionnaire online. The results of the research showed no statistically significant differences among the religious Slovenes living in Argentina and Slovenes living in Slovenia considering the comparable concepts. The entire sample showed that all three measures of subjective well-being statistically significantly correlate with gratitude. In terms of satisfaction with life and a positive affect, gratitude proved to be positive, and the negative affect was weakly negative. The gratitude in both groups showed a positive correlation with the dimensions of spirituality. The most intensely gratefully connected dimension is the connectedness. Spirituality measures have a positive correlation to satisfaction with life and a positive affect, according to the survey. The subjective well-being and the frequency of participation in religious rituals have not shown a statistically significant link. Significant differences between the groups appeared on specific aspects of religiosity, which talk about the reasons for engaging in the religious activities of the participants. Slovenians in Argentina are more closely involved in engaging in religious activities by consolidating their national identity and because relatives do so as well. What is even more, the Holy Mass is being linked largely to preserving the traditions of parents / grandparents and by developing a personal relationship with God than Slovenes from the motherland. |
