Abstract

V času, ko se strojno učenje pojavlja na vseh področjih računalništva, je veliko rešitev implementiranih znotraj te domene nastalo predvsem v panogi razvoja mobilnih aplikacij, vendar se jih zaradi hitrega razvoja občasno drži sloves nepreizkušenosti. Namen diplomskega dela je zato bil preizkusiti Firebase ML Kit v prototipni aplikaciji ter ob tem opazovati zahtevnost uporabe. Končna ugotovitev, da je Firebase ML Kit rešitev, ki nam hitro in enostavno omogoča implementacijo uporabe strojnega učenja v mobilno aplikacijo morda ne preseneča, preseneča pa dejstvo, da je programski paket zelo dobro dokumentiran in je podpora na spletu nadpovprečno dobra.

Secondary abstract: With rising trends associated with machine learning in all areas of computer science, many solutions for implementation have been created in the mobile application development industry. Still, they are renowned for not being tested enough because of rapid development in recent years. The purpose of this diploma thesis was, therefore, to examine the Firebase ML Kit in a prototype application while observing the complexity of use. The conclusion that Firebase ML Kit is a solution that quickly and easily enables us to implement the use of machine learning into a mobile application may not be surprising. It is, however, surprising that the software package has outstanding documentation, and online support is above average.
