Abstract

Mnoga izmed njih so pričela s šivanjem mask.

Secondary abstract: At the end of 2019 a new coronavirus called SARS-cov-2 spread from Wuhan, China, leading to a worldwide pandemic. The pandemic led to many consequences, not only for individuals through fear and deaths, but also for companies in Slovenia as well as companies all around the world. Sectors such as tourism, catering, non-food trade, automotive industry and those similar to them took a heavy toll. However, the pandemic didn't have only bad consequences it also had a positive impact on business in some companies. Companies that experienced positive consequences during the pandemic are certainly those of the food trade. Besides food trade the companies that had a positive outcome are online stores, package delivery companies, pharmaceutical companies and other. Some of the companies saw an opportunity on the market during the pandemic and redirected their activities. Many of them started to sew masks. We can definitely see major changes in the business environment of companies. The business environment is a space that includes internal and external factors. As a part of the bachelor's thesis we were mainly focused on the external environment which changed rapidly due to the pandemic. It crossed many business plans for company managers. New laws and recommendations that came from the governments that affected companies and cost more prudent thinking among people. All of that resulted in lower consumption of non-essential items. To understand the impact of business environment on companies better we focused on companies in the fields of tourism, catering and food trade. We studied the factors of Pest analysis and found many changes in political, economic, socio-cultural and technological factors. Most of these factors had a negative impact on the companies. Many companies, especially those in at risk sectors, such as tourism and hospitality, had to change their business plans.
