Abstract

Ozaveščenost in občutljivost otrok za skrb ter varovanje okolja lahko dosegamo že v predšolskem obdobju. Nacionalni dokument Kurikulum za vrtce naravo opredeljuje kot eno izmed posebnih področji dejavnosti v vrtcu. Vzgojitelji otrokom omogočamo pridobivanje izkušenj z odkrivanjem in raziskovanjem neokrnjene narave. Z naravoslovnimi vsebinami otrok razvija svoje sposobnosti in spretnosti naravoslovnih postopkov. Sprva preprostih, nato zahtevnejših in abstraktnejših. Naš cilj je dejavnosti prilagoditi otrokovi starosti, veščinam in razvoju, hkrati pa omogočiti izzive, s katerimi se preizkusi tudi v čem težjem, novem in nepoznanem. Monotonost v igralnicah vrtca lahko preprečimo z interesnimi naravoslovnimi kotički. Z avtorsko Eksperimentalno raziskovalno škatlo: Peščeni filter, ki je v diplomskem delu podrobno predstavljena, smo ugotavljali vlogo naravoslovnih škatel pri predšolskih otrocih v vrtcu. Raziskava je temeljila na ne slučajnostnem, konkretnem vzorcu 24 otrok, oziroma 12 parov, starih 5-6 let. V empiričnem delu smo predstavili in interpretirali rezultate otrok. Podatke smo pridobili z enim preverjanjem in jih zbrali s pomočjo kvantitativne tehnike - s strukturiranim opazovanjem, ter kvalitativne tehnike - z nestandardiziranim intervjujem. Otroci so z materiali in pripomočki znotraj škatle samostojno raziskovali in izvedli eksperiment. Ugotovili smo, da škatla otrokom omogoča aktivno učenje, vpliva na njihovo pridobivanje pozitivnih naravoslovnih izkušenj in spodbuja razvoj sposobnosti sodelovanja otrok.

Secondary abstract: The awareness and sensitivity of children towards environmental care and protection can be achieved already in the preschool period. The national document Curriculum for Kindergartens defines nature as one of the special areas of activity in kindergarten. Educators enable children to gain experience in discovering and exploring unspoiled nature. Through natural science content, children develop their abilities and skills in natural science procedures, first simple, then more demanding and abstract. The goal is to adapt the activities to the child's age, skills and development, and at the same time provide him with challenges, which enable him to try something more difficult, new and unknown. Monotony in kindergarten playrooms can be prevented with interesting natural science corners. The author's Experimental Research Box: Sand Filter, which is presented in detail in the diploma thesis, was used to determine the role of natural science boxes in preschool children in kindergarten. The research was based on a non-probability, actual sample of 24 children or 12 pairs, aged 5-6. In the empirical part, the results of children were presented and interpreted. Data were obtained in a single testing session and collected by using a quantitative method - with a structured observation, and a qualitative method - with a non-standardized interview. The children made discoveries with materials and accessories from the box independently and performed the experiment. It was found that the box enables children to learn actively, influences their acquisition of positive natural science experiences and encourages the development of children's ability to participate.
