Abstract
Revščina lahko pomembno zaznamuje otroka in njegovo družino. Pomembno je, da poznamo, kako se revščina kaže in kakšne oblike pomoči lahko nudimo posameznikom, ki se z njo srečujejo. Zaradi soočanja z revščino lahko ima otrok slabši razvoj, kar pa vpliva na njegovo nadaljnje življenje. Takšni otroci so pogosto socialno izključeni. Diplomsko delo je sestavljeno iz teoretičnega in empiričnega dela. V teoretičnem delu je predstavljena revščina, kakšen je vpliv revščine na predšolskega otroka in na njegovo družino ter kakšno pomoč lahko nudimo predšolskemu otroku in njegovi družini, ki se sooča z revščino. V empiričnem delu so predstavljeni rezultati in interpretacija intervjujev, ki smo jih izvedeli z zaposlenimi iz različnih Centrov za socialno delo. Zanimalo nas je, kako zaposleni na Centru za socialno delo prepoznavajo revščino v okolju predšolskega otroka in kakšno pomoč nudijo otroku in njegovi družini. Glede na pridobljene rezultate ugotavljamo, da zaposleni na Centru za socialno delo revščino prepoznavajo na podlagi otrokovega vedenja, zunanjega videza, vključevanja v družbo. Prepoznavajo jo predvsem preko otrokovih staršev. Otroku nudijo pomoč posredno, preko njihovih staršev. Pri tem pa jim pomagajo različne institucije in organizacije.

Identifying poverty in the preschool child's environment |
Secondary abstract: |
Poverty can significantly influence a child and their family. It is important to understand how poverty manifests itself and what forms of assistance can be provided to individuals facing it. The experience of poverty may hinder the child's development, which in turn affects their future life. Such children are often socially excluded. This diploma thesis consists of a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part introduces poverty, its influence on preschool children and their families, as well as the support that can be provided to preschool children and their families facing poverty. The empirical part presents the results and interpretation of interviews conducted with employees from various Social Welfare Centres. We were interested in how the employees at the Social Welfare Centres recognize poverty in the environment of preschool children and what assistance they provide to the child and their family. Based on the obtained results, we conclude that the employees of the Social Welfare Centres identify poverty based on the child's behaviour, appearance, and social integration. They primarily recognize it through the child's parents and offer assistance to children indirectly through them. Various institutions and organizations assist them in this process. |
