Abstract

Prispevek odpira temeljna vprašanja opredelitve jezikovnega poseganja v obstoječa pisna besedila. Primerja postopke branja, prevajanja in lektoriranja.

Secondary abstract: The paper deals with the fundamental issues relating to linguistic interventions into written texts. It compares the process of reading, translating and language revision or proof-reading. Since the language activity in question consists of changing original texts (written by an author), it seems particularly relevant to think about the responsibility of the professional language reviser. To whom or to what is he or she essentially responsible: the language, norms, the sense of the text, the author- or perhaps him/herself?
