Abstract

magistrski nalogi smo primerjali učna načrta angleščine javnih in waldorfskih osnovnih šol v Sloveniji in preučevali pristop poučevanja angleščine kot tujega jezika na waldorfskih osnovnih šolah. Naredili smo podrobni analizi obeh učnih načrtov in primerjali naslednje tri skupne točke: definicija predmeta, minimalni standardi znanja in didaktična priporočila. Naš cilj je bil ugotoviti, kaj imata učna načrta skupnega in v katerih točkah se razlikujeta. Predvidevali smo, da je učni načrt za pouk angleščine v javnih osnovnih šolah v Sloveniji bolj uraden, obširen, jasnejši in bolj posodobljen kot učni načrt za pouk angleščine v waldorfskih osnovnih šolah v Sloveniji. Prav tako smo predvidevali, da prvi vsebuje podrobnejše opise ciljev, standardov znanja in didaktičnih priporočil kot drugi, ki naj bi bil napisan bolj svobodno. Preverili smo tudi, kako poučevanje angleščine kot tujega jezika na waldorfskih osnovnih šolah poteka v praksi, zato smo opazovali tri učne ure na Waldorfski osnovni šoli Savinja. Osredotočili smo se predvsem na metode in tehnike poučevanja waldorfskega učitelja angleščine, sodelovanje waldorfskih učencev pri pouku angleščine ter na odnos učitelj-učenec. Ugotovitve smo primerjali z izkušnjami, ki smo jih pridobili med opazovanjem pouka angleščine na javni osnovni šoli Osnovna šola Ljubečna, v sklopu prakse, leta 2015. Ocenjevali smo v kateri osnovni šoli, javni ali waldorfski, je poučevanje angleščine kot tujega jezika bolj učinkovito in katero okolje je bolj spodbudno za učence.

Secondary abstract: In this MA paper, we compared the EFL curriculum of public primary schools with the EFL curriculum of Waldorf primary schools in Slovenia and examined the approach to EFL teaching at Waldorf primary schools. We did an in-depth analyses of both EFL curricula and compared the following three common points: definition of the subject, minimum standards of knowledge and didactic recommendations. Our aim was to find what both curricula have in common and in which points they differ from each other. We assumed that the public EFL curriculum would be more official, more formal, more extensive, more transparent and more updated than the Waldorf one. The next hypothesis was that the EFL curriculum included more in-depth descriptions of objectives, standards of knowledge and didactic recommendation than the Waldorf one, which was supposedly more freely written. Observing English lessons at Waldorf primary school Savinja, we also examined how Waldorf EFL teaching really works in practice. We particularly concentrated on the teaching methods and techniques used by the Waldorf English language teacher, on the cooperation of Waldorf learners in English lessons and on the teacher-learner relations. The findings were compared with our 2015 teaching practice experience, when we were observing English lessons at public primary school OŠ Ljubečna. The aims were to estimate which EFL teaching methods and techniques were more efficient, the ones used in public or Waldorf primary schools; and which school environment, public or Waldorf, is more learner-friendly.
