Abstract

Teoretična izhodišča: Alergijska reakcija po piku žuželke je lahko življenjsko nevarna in lahko povzroči tudi smrt. Zato je izrednega pomena osveščenost o alergijah na pike žuželk, kajti s primernim znanjem lahko rešimo večino težav, ki jo povzročajo alergije. Namen diplomskega dela je bil predstaviti alergijo na pike žuželk in z raziskavo ugotoviti osveščenost mladostnikov o alergijah na pike žuželk. Metodologija raziskovanja: V diplomskem delu smo uporabili deskriptivno in kvantitativno metodologijo. Podatke smo pridobili s pomočjo anonimnega anketnega vprašalnika, ki je vseboval 16 vprašanj, od tega 13 vprašanj zaprtega tipa in 3 vprašanja odprtega tipa. V raziskavi je sodelovalo 50 dijakov 1. letnikov in 50 dijakov 4. letnikov gimnazije. Rezultati: Rezultati raziskave so pokazali, da je polovica anketiranih mladostnikov že imelo kakšno alergijsko reakcijo oz. ima alergijo. Kot najpogostejše znake in simptome alergijske reakcije po piku žuželke so mladostniki navedli oteklino, srbečico, rdečico in izpuščaje. Z raziskavo smo tudi ugotovili, da je največ mladostnikov dobilo informacije o alergijah na pike žuželk od staršev. Sklep: Zaradi vse večjega števila alergij med mladostniki je zelo pomembno zdravstveno - vzgojno delo medicinske sestre pri osveščenosti o alergijah na pike žuželk tako v okviru sistematičnih pregledih kot tudi v obliki predavanj oz. seminarjev.

Secondary title: Awareness of insect sting allergies among young people
Secondary abstract: Theoretical background: Allergic reactions to insect stings can be life-threatening and can cause death. It is therefore of utmost importance awareness about allergies to insect stings, because with appropriate knowledge we can solve most of the problems caused by allergies. The purpose of the thesis was to represent an allergy to insect stings and determine the awareness of young people about allergies to insect stings. Research methodology: In this thesis, we used a descriptive and quantitative methodology. Data were collected by using an anonymous questionnaire containing 16 questions, 13 closed questions and 3 open-ended questions. The study involved 50 freshman students and 50 senior students in high school. Results: The results have shown that half of the respondents have already had an allergic reaction or have an allergy. As the most common signs and symptoms of allergic reactions to insect stings the youngsters indicated swelling, itching, redness and rashes. With the research we also found out that most youngsters received information about allergies to insect stings from their parents. Conclusion: Due to the increasing number of allergies among youngsters the health - educational work of nurses in awareness of allergies to insect stings is very important as in the context of systematic reviews as well as in the form of lectures or seminars.
