Sekundarni naslov: Gifted students in art classes
Sekundarni povzetek: The main focus of the thesis is recognition and identification of talented students in art classes. The goal was to find out if artistically talented students can be recognized as talented by current standards even if the standards are more thoroughly and more precisely defined. In the theoretical part I have firstly defined the term talent as well as different views of authors on the definition of talent. I have described the difference between intelligence and talent. I was foremost interested in artistic talent, stereotypes or assumptions that occur in this area as well as characteristics of artistically talented students along with methods and ways that help us discover and identify artistically talented students in Slovenian schools. In the practical part I have focused on the execution of tasks in the field of art, and based on that, I have recorded artistically talented students. I have executed identification with the help of the new grading chart and a questionnaire. I have compared the obtained data with the data that already existed. I have also determined talent based on sex and academic success in other school subjects. The results of the research have shown that the number of artistically talented students is much higher based on currents standards than the number of students measured by new standards. Based on that I can draw a conclusion that we need to find ways to execute more precise and valid standards based on which we can record and identify artistically talented students. The research has shown that one of the ways for improvement is in fact the method that I have used in my research. The evidence has shown that the number of talented girls is a bit lower than the number of boys; however they are all extremely academically talented in other school subjects.
