Sekundarni povzetek: In the first part of my diploma thesis, the meaning of art education in the first five grades of primary school and an artistic talent of the learner are defined. During art lessons, peculiarities of art education, various ways of carrying out these lessons and the development of creativity in the learning process are clarified. Creativity in the art activity is encouraged by original and inventive art tasks. There is an emphasis on discovering artistically talented children. An artistically talented learner can be found with the help of certain criteria and by following his progress in the field of art. There are different ways of working with learners, such as fine arts classes, competitions, camps, Saturday schools etc. In finding artistically talented children, different types of literature can be of great help. There is also a definition of the artistic development of the learners aged from six to eleven. The second part includes a research about the number of artistically talented learners in the first five grades of primary school based on the analysis of their artistic products and on an interview with teachers. A basis for the research was a structured art task with an art motif: We're playing Blind man's bluff, and an artistic field – drawing. The number of artistically talented learners from the grades one to five as well as the following facts were established: how much the teachers were acquainted with the learners' artistic talent; how much they knew the criteria for the evaluation of the artistic talents; how much attention they dedicated to the artistically talented learners. The results show that in a certain grade from one to five 16% of the learners have distinct artistic abilities and they show greater creativity as well as independence in the realization of an art task. On the other hand 84% of the learners show less distinct artistic skills, creativity and independence. One of the findings shows that teachers have insufficient knowledge about peculiarities of an artistic talent; they do not pay attention to these peculiarities and do not know the criteria for defining an artistic talent.

Povzetek (ePrints): V prvem delu diplomskega dela opredeljujemo pomen pouka likovne vzgoje na razredni stopnji in likovno nadarjenost učenca. Znotraj pouka pojasnimo posebnosti likovne vzgoje, kako se pouk likovne vzgoje izvaja in kako se ustvarjalnost razvija v učnem procesu. Ustvarjalnost pri likovni dejavnosti spodbujamo z izvirnimi in domiselnimi likovnimi nalogami. V diplomskem delu je poudarek na odkrivanju likovno nadarjenih učencev. Likovno nadarjene učence lahko odkrijemo s pomočjo določenih kriterijev in spremljanja posameznikovega likovnega napredka. Vrste dela z njimi so likovni krožki, natečaji, tekmovanja, šole v naravi, sobotne šole, tabori itd. Pri odkrivanju likovno nadarjenih si lahko pomagamo z različno literaturo. Opredeli smo tudi likovni razvoj učencev od 6. do 11. leta. Drugi del diplomskega dela vkjučuje raziskavo o številu likovno nadarjenih učencev na razredni stopnji osnovne šole, ki je temeljila na analizi likovnih izdelkov in na intervjuju z učiteljicami. Izhodišče za raziskavo je bila oblikovana likovna naloga z likovnim motivom Igramo se slepe miši in likovnim področjem – risanje. Ugotavljali smo število likovno nadarjenih učencev od 1. do 5. razreda, koliko so učitelji seznanjeni z likovno nadarjenostjo, kako poznajo kriterije za vrednotenje likovne nadarjenosti in koliko pozornosti posvečajo likovno nadarjenim učencem. Rezultati kažejo, da je v prvih petih razredih 16 % učencev z izrazitimi likovnimi sposobnostmi in kažejo večjo ustvarjalnost ter samostojnost izvedbe likovne naloge. 84 % učencev pa kaže manj izrazite likovne sposobnosti, manj ustvarjalnosti in samostojnosti. Ugotovili smo, da imajo učiteljice pomanjkljivo znanje o posebnostih likovne nadarjenosti, temu tudi ne posvečajo pozornosti in ne poznajo kriterijev za določitev likovne nadarjenosti.
