Povzetek
Zdravstvena nega je kompleksna stroka, ki zahteva visoko strokovno usposobljenost in poznavanje pravil medosebne komunikacije. V zdravstveni negi je komunikacija ključnega pomena, saj vpliva na preventivo, zdravljenje, terapijo, rehabilitacijo, izobraževanje in promocijo zdravja. V sodobni praksi mnenje vsakega pacienta šteje za pomemben prispevek k oceni zdravstvene oskrbe. Namen: Namen diplomskega dela je raziskati literaturo na področju komunikacije med medicinsko sestro in pacientom. Raziskati želimo ovire in opisati, kako učinkovita komunikacija vpliva na pacientovo varnost, počutje medicinske sestre in pacienta ter kako vpliva na njun odnos. Metode dela: V diplomskem delu smo uporabili deskriptivno metodo s sistematičnim pregledom literature. Pri iskanju literature so bile uporabljene le angleške ključne besede. Literaturo smo iskali v naslednjih podatkovnih bazah: Digitalna knjižnica Univerze v Ljubljani, ResearchGate in PubMed. Uporabljen časovni okvir literature v tabeli je bil od leta 2018 do 2024. V analizo smo vključili 14 člankov, ki smo jih izbrali glede na vključitvene in izključitvene kriterije. Izbrane članke smo postavili v tabelo. Za vsak članek smo zapisali avtorje, namen, metode in glavne ugotovitve. Rezultati: Komunikacija v zdravstvu se razlikuje glede na različne situacije. Medosebna, verbalna in hkrati neverbalna komunikacija so pomembni elementi zdravstvene nege. Z delovno obremenjenostjo, pomanjkanjem časa, stresom in podobnim prihaja do težav pri komunikaciji med medicinsko sestro in pacientom. Pozitivna komunikacija spodbuja proces pozitivnih ocen pri pacientu, kar vodi do izboljšanega vedenja in čustvenega stanja. Zaupanje pacientov v medicinske sestre je vzporedno s kakovostjo zdravstvene nege. Razprava in zaključek: Učinkovita komunikacija je ključna za lažjo izmenjavo informacij, pomoč pacientom in izboljšanje njihovega razumevanja izidov zdravljenja. Na tem področju bi bilo smiselno izvesti več raziskav, zlasti glede duševnega zdravja in počutja medicinskih sester med interakcijami s pacienti. Prav tako bi bila koristna izobraževanja za medicinske sestre za razvoj komunikacijskih veščin. To bi lahko prispevalo k izboljšanju njihove sposobnosti učinkovitega in sočutnega komuniciranja s pacienti ter k boljšemu sodelovanju znotraj zdravstvenega tima.

Nursing is a demanding profession that requires a high level of expertise and a thorough understanding of interpersonal communication principles. Communication in nursing is crucial, as it influences prevention, treatment, therapy, rehabilitation, education and health promotion. In modern practice each patient's opinion is considered an essential contribution to evaluating healthcare quality. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to examine the literature on communication between nurses and patients. The aim is to explore barriers and describe how effective communication impacts patient safety, the well-being of both nurses and patients, and their mutual relationship. Methods: A descriptive method with a systematic literature review was employed. The search for literature used only English keywords. The literature search was conducted in the following databases: Digital Library of the University of Ljubljana, ResearchGate, and PubMed. The timeframe of the literature included in the table ranged from 2018 to 2024. A total of 14 articles were included in the analysis based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The selected articles were organized into a table where the authors, purposes, methods, and key findings of each study were documented. Results: Communication in healthcare varies depending on different situations. Interpersonal, verbal, and non-verbal communication are crucial components of nursing care. Challenges in communication between nurses and patients arise from workload, time constraints, stress, and similar factors. Positive communication encourages a process of positive evaluations in patients, leading to improved behaviours and emotional well-being. Patients' trust in nurses correlates with the quality of nursing care. Discussion and conclusion: Effective communication is essential for facilitating information exchange, supporting patients, and enhancing their understanding of treatment outcomes. Further research in this area would be beneficial, particularly regarding the mental health and well-being of nurses during interactions with patients. Training programs for nurses focused on the development of communication skills would also be advantageous. These programs could help enhance their ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and improve collaboration within healthcare teams. |
