Povzetek
Osrednji problem diplomskega dela je ugotoviti količino in načine vključevanja staršev v šolsko delo njihovih otrok ter raziskati, kateri so atraktivnejši načini vključevanja, s katerimi bi lahko pritegnili tudi starše, ki se standardnih oblik sodelovanja neradi udeležujejo. Glede na to, da delovni čas postaja za družine vse krutejši, me je zanimalo, ali to vpliva na pomoč staršev otrokom pri šolskem delu. Ob tem se namreč poraja vprašanje, ali imajo starši ob natrpanem urniku in številnih obveznosti čas in željo pomagati otroku pri njegovem šolskem delu. V diplomskem delu sem raziskala in opisala načine in pomen vključevanja staršev v šolsko delo otrok, glede na dokončano stopnjo izobrazbe, spol in zaposlenost staršev, ter glede na razred, ki ga obiskuje njihov otrok. Raziskala sem ključne razlike med tradicionalno in sodobno družino, aktualne načine sodelovanja med šolo in starši ter ugotavljala, katere oblike sodelovanja s šolo bi starši še želeli. Raziskala sem tudi negativne posledice opravljanja obveznosti namesto otrok in z anketo posredno ugotavljala, ali se jih starši zavedajo. V empiričnem delu diplomskega dela sem na vzorcu 110 staršev otrok med prvim in petim razredom raziskovala njihovo vključevanje, načine in pogostost vključevanja, ter ugotavljala, kakšna je interakcija s strokovnimi delavci šole. Na osnovi dobljenih empiričnih podatkov je bilo ugotovljeno, da si večina staršev kljub natrpanemu urniku vedno vzame čas za pomoč lastnemu otroku.

The main problem of the diploma thesis was to determine how often and in what ways the parents were involved in their children's school work, and to explore which were the most interesting ways of involvement to attract the parents who usually did not like to be involved in standard ways of cooperation. According to the fact that the parents' work schedules are nowadays becoming more and more difficult, I wanted to know if this was the main problem which affected the parents' involvement in their children's school work. The question was if the parents had time and interest to be involved in school work when they were already occupied with multiple chores and their schedules were very busy. The ways and the importance of parents' participation at children's school work according to the parents' level of education, their gender, their obligations and the grade which their child attends, were researched and described in the thesis. I researched the key differences between the traditional and modern family, the modern approaches of cooperation between school and parents, and determined in which ways the parents would like to cooperate with school. The negative consequences of parents doing their children's work were presented. Through the survey I determined whether the parents were aware of the negative consequences of helping their children. In the empirical part of the thesis the pattern of 110 parents whose children attend grades from 1st to 5th was established. Through the survey I researched the parent's involvement, ways and frequency of their cooperation as well as the interaction between parents, teachers and other specialists in school. On the basis of gathered empiric data it was determined that most of the parents always take time to help their children despite their busy schedules. |
