Sekundarni povzetek: In my graduate thesis titled »Prescolar teacher's encouragement of the children's storytelling« I want to highlight the importance of the professional workers in kindergartens when it comes to the development of the children's way of thinking and their speech. With the adequate planning and practicing of the activities we have a great influence over children's language capacities; among them the children's capacities of the storytelling. In the theoretical part of the thesis I will focus on the development of the speech and in what way can a kindergarten teacher encourage the children's storytelling. In the empirical part I will introduce a questionnaire for the kindergarten teachers where the questions have been based on teacher's practical work; I have tried to compile their attitude and opinion on this topic. I found out that the kindergarten teachers are thoroughly aware that their language capacity effects the develpoment of children's lingual capacities. In order to encourage children's storytelling they are using different methods and the means of motivation as well as they encourage them to listen actively. I found out that kindergarten teachers train and animate children in order to be able to speak up publicly.

Povzetek (ePrints): V diplomski nalogi Vzgojiteljevo spodbujanje otrok k pripovedovanju želim predstaviti, kako pomembno vlogo imamo strokovni delavci vrtcev pri spodbujanju otrokovega mišljenja in govora. Z ustreznim načrtovanjem in izvajanjem dejavnosti imamo velik vpliv na razvoj otrokove jezikovne in med drugim tudi pripovedovalne zmožnosti. V teoretičnem delu diplome me bo torej zanimal razvoj govora in na kakšne načine lahko vzgojitelj spodbuja otroka k pripovedovanju. V empiričnem delu bom predstavila anketni vprašalnik za vzgojitelje, kjer se vprašanja nanašajo na to, kako vzgojitelji ravnajo v praksi. Z njim sem preverila njihova stališča in mnenja do teh vprašanj. Ugotovila sem, da se vzgojitelji zavedajo, da stopnja njihove jezikovne zmožnosti vpliva na razvoj otrokovih zmožnosti. Za spodbujanje k pripovedovanju uporabljajo različne metode in motivacijska sredstva, prav tako otroke učijo aktivnega poslušanja in jih spodbujajo k njemu. Ugotovila sem tudi, da vzgojitelji navajajo otroke na govorno nastopanje in jih k temu spodbujajo.
