Sekundarni jezik: Angleški jezik
Sekundarni naslov: How important is knowledge of Slovenian language for successful integration of non-Slovenian speaking children in Slovenian kindergarten
Sekundarni povzetek: The knowledge of Slovenian language is key for a successful integration of non Slovenian speaking children into the kindergarten. When forming strategies for integration of foreign children into the educational in schooling system, one must not forget their parents. If the children are well integrated into the narrower and broader society, their parents will also be a functional part of that society. The effectiveness of the educational-schooling program is greatly influenced by the educator with his organization and application of the educational-schooling process in the kindergarten. In the kindergarten children acquire skills, knowledge and social bonds, which are extremely important for a successful integration into society. The relationship between the educator and child greatly influences the childes speech and social development. It is up to the educator, what kind of language experience the child will receive in the kindergarten. Critical phases of speech development happen in the preschool time period , therefore it is important to dedicate special attention to the speech development. The environment, in which the child develops, must act encouragingly. In the research we presented the results of a survey carried out in two kindergartens, which are attended by a larger number of non Slovenian speaking children.
