Tipne slikanice sem preizkusila v praksi, in sicer s slabovidno deklico, staro 8 let. Uporabila sem tehniko neposrednega opazovanja in ček listo (ocenjevalno lestvico), s katero je bilo ocenjeno obvladovanje izbranih spretnosti, veščin, znanja in razumevanja slabovidne deklice.

Sekundarni povzetek: Blindness and myopia can be a big restriction for people and when we talk about children there are limitations which present real life problems. Children with such defect have problems at perceiving the outside world, they have weak orientation in different areas and they also have difficulties when marking the distances as well as the relations among objects. Their visualization of objects is very poor and it can also be inadequate. Besides all that, they do not have enough didactic tools and toys so that is why they are unable to improve their visualization. This recognition has inspired me to make tactile picture book for blind and visually- impaired children. My intention was to study different types of tactile books and to make three types of them: fiction, educational and a picture book without a text. I tried them out in practice with an eight- year old visually- impaired girl. I used the technique of direct observation as well as the evaluative scale through which I assessed the control of the chosen skills, knowledge and understanding of the visually- impaired girl. Her reactions were very positive, she wanted to try out more tactile picture books and she also participated in conversation about books. She found the stories amusing, humoristic and fun. However, the results showed a very big role of tactile picture books on blind and visually- impaired children and that they are indispensable in order to gain better understanding and visualisation of objects as well as the world in general.
