Abstract

Secondary abstract: Only two translations of Slovene dramas appeared in the years 1991-2005 in Poland: Antigona by Jovanović and Vladimir by Zupančič, both translated by Joanna Pomorska. Vladimir has been staged several times in Poland which reflects the excellent choice made by Pomorska and the high quality of her translation. Comparative analysis of the original and the translation of the drama reveals the translator's pragmatic as well as linguistic abilities.
