Secondary abstract: | The paper addresses the current importance of contemporary (Slovene) literature in secondary education. The author advocates the introduction of more contemporary works, particularly for home-reading, emphasising their role in the process of changing sometimes rigid educational attitudes towards the history and theory of literature and interpretation. |
