Povzetek

Prazniki že od nekdaj osmišljajo in izpopolnjujejo človeška življenja. Praznovanja le-teh predstavljajo zadovoljstvo, sprostitev, čas zbliževanj in združevanj, hkrati so del naše kulture in tradicije. Ob pogledih na družino nam marsikaj prešine misli. V njej se naučimo prvih korakov, besed, pravil obnašanja, spoznavamo norme in vrednote ter marsikaj drugega in nevidnega. Zato lahko rečemo, da je družina kot ledena gora, od katere je viden le majhen del njene celote. Namen diplomskega dela je z raziskavo ugotoviti, kakšen je odnos staršev predšolskih otrok do praznikov. Cilji diplomskega dela so ugotoviti, kakšen odnos imajo starši predšolskih otrok do praznikov, na kakšen način jih praznujejo in kaj jim le-ti pomenijo. Diplomsko delo je sestavljeno iz dveh delov: teoretičnega in empiričnega. V prvem delu gre za predstavitev posameznih praznikov, družine kot same, vlogo odraslih ob praznovanju in otrokovo doživljanje praznovanj, glede na že uveljavljene vire. V drugem gre za raziskovalno delo, kjer s pomočjo analize podatkov na podlagi anketnih vprašalnikov pridemo do ugotovitev in sklepov glede na zastavljena vprašanja in hipoteze, ki so se pojavile tekom izdelave diplomskega dela. Z anketnim vprašalnikom smo ugotovili, da starši ne glede na stopnjo izobrazbe, okolje bivanja, tip družine in ali so verni ali ne, obeležujejo praznike in imajo do njih pozitiven odnos in da kljub različnim načinom praznovanja skušajo otroke aktivno vključevati v proces priprave na praznike ter njihovo obeleževanje z namenom ohranjanja tradicije in kulture.

Sekundarni povzetek: Holidays have always given meaning and sense of fulfilment to human lives. Celebrating holidays embodies contentment, relaxation and time to bring everyone together. However, they are also a part of our culture and tradition. When we think of a family, many ideas rush to our mind. Amidst our family we learn our first steps, words and rules of conduct. We learn norms and values and acquire new knowledge. Hence, we can say that the family is an iceberg of which we can only see one tiny part. The intention of this diploma thesis is to research the attitude of preschool children's parents towards holidays. The aims of this thesis are to identify how preschool children's parents approach holidays, how they celebrate them and what importance holidays have for them. The diploma thesis has two parts: a theoretical and an empirical one. By using the existing sources, the first part is intended to present individual holidays, families as such, the adults' role in celebrations and child's experience of celebrations. The second part deals with research work, in which data analysis, acquired by a survey, enables us to arrive at conclusions based on questions and hypotheses, which emerged while writing the thesis. The survey helped us find out that parents regardless of their education level, place of living, family type, whether they are religious or not, celebrate holidays and have positive attitude towards them. Furthermore, the survey revealed that parents, although celebrations may differ, actively include children in the process of holiday preparations and celebrations with the intention to preserve tradition and culture.
