In the final thesis, we are researching motivation for work among members of generation Y. In the theoretical part of the thesis, we describe basic concepts of motivation, some of the motivational theories, and describe the general characteristics of members of generation Y, that can be found in the literature. In the empirical part of the thesis, we conduct a survey, with our own questionnaire, on motivation for work among members of generation Y. We have found, that among all of the factors, they are most motivated by the feeling of success and satisfaction from work and they are least motivated by predictable work tasks. The results cannot be generalized to the whole generation due to non-probability sampling. |
